localseochecklist.org is a free resource for learning and practicing local SEO. This policy describes what data the site collects and how it is used. It is intentionally short, because we collect very little.

Analytics. We use privacy-friendly and standard web analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate region, device type, and referral source. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Account information. If you create a free account to track your checklist progress, we collect your email address and the information you add yourself: project names, notes, and task progress. Accounts are optional; the entire checklist and all guides are readable without one.

Forms. If you contact us or submit a form on the site, we receive the information you choose to provide.

How we use it

Account data exists to provide the service: saving your progress, syncing it across devices, and generating your progress reports. We may use your email address to send service messages (sign-in links, important changes to the site) and occasional updates about the checklist. We may share contact information with partners whose products or services are relevant to local SEO practitioners. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies required for signed-in sessions and analytics. No advertising cookies are set.

Your data, your control

You can request a copy of your account data or ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted at any time by contacting us through the site. Deleting your account removes your projects, notes, and progress permanently.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure and uses established third-party providers for authentication, analytics, and email delivery. Each processes data only as needed to operate the site.
